SmartBoards are now used in many classrooms across the country. In the last 10-15 years they have replaced standard chalk boards and white boards. SmartBoards and similar products offer a computer-based interactive resource for teachers to make lessons "come to life!" Students can interact with video and audio supported presentations and work at the board. They can also be a tremendous help for the teacher to work interactively on problems and grammar exercises. "Students of all ages love the SMART Board because it is interactive and interlinked with computer software" according to an article on wikibooks.org.
