We will be going over most of the basics in class to get you started. Make sure you stay with us at first, then spend time getting to know the program better on your own. Make sure you read, and understand the next part of this introduction:
NOTE: These programs are open-source, and as such are downloaded on the individual systems in school. You can only work on these projects (using OpenShot, Blender, or Inkscape) when you are in class because they are DOWNLOADED to the individual systems in class. If you have IMovie, Adobe, or some other video editor at home, the projects in class will not save for editing elsewhere. You are importing your images, video clips, music and other items onto the specific computers you use in class. Therefore, you would need to save all those same files to your Google Drive for use at home.
If you want to work on OpenShot (Blender/Inkscape) at home, your parents will need to download, and install the programs on a computer for you. This is NOT a Requirement of the CSA Class!
IF YOU HAVE TIME, CHECK THESE OUT ON YOUR OWN:
The following programs are also Open-Source and can greatly enhance your videos. We have installed these programs, but due to lack of time and resources for this class, we will not be able to introduce them. You are more than welcome to review the information below, and try to use these resources for projects, but they are not required. Enjoy!
